Making Work Work – for
Mums in Renfrewshire

Making Work Work and Renfrewshire Council brought a new programme to mums in Renfrewshire in 2025.

Offering a combination of live and recorded online training, we covered:

• professional skills refresher / professional development and reflective practice

• stakeholder and client relationships

• flexible, remote and hybrid working

• designing the ideal (work)life blend

• identifying transferable skills and navigating a “squiggly” career

• CVs, applications and interviews

And helped participants to:

• Expand their network with like-minded women

• Explore part-time and flexible working opportunities

• Boost confidence to re-enter or advance in the workplace

• Update their professional skills & refresh their CV
