Making Work Work – for Women Returners

Making Work Work – for Women Returners was The Challenges Group's award-winning original women returners programme. 

We worked with women who had management experience or aspirations from across Scotland to take part in a peer-led skills refresher programme which facilitated the confidence and networks essential to finding work commensurate with their skills, ambitions and potential.

Making Work Work – for Women Returners is the Challenges Group's award-winning original women returners programme, co-designed and Programme Managed by Lynn Houmdi, Scotland's Flex Influencer 2022. 

 

The programme helped women across Scotland looking to step back into the workplace and who faced difficulties in finding work that fits with all the commitments and fun of life following a career break (e.g. for maternity, caring, health issues / disability, redundancy, relocation or other reasons).  

 

The programme was a peer-led skills refresher programme which facilitated the confidence and networks essential to finding work commensurate with their skills, ambitions and potential. 

 

Participants also got support with their job search, personal development and designing their (work)life blend.  

Coming Soon

We've recently won some more funding to support women in the City of Edinburgh to make work work. This programme will be open to returners in work or still on a career break.

We are hoping to secure funding to support women from other areas of Scotland soon. Register your interest and keep an eye on our socials for more information
